DEMLA Transportation was founded by Denis and Emiley, a husband-and-wife team dedicated to person-centered care. Denis, originally from Kenya, has a background in Public Health and caregiving, while Emiley, a Pacific Northwest native, spent a decade working in the Adventist Health system and is also a certified caregiver. Their journey began in adult care homes, where they saw firsthand the challenges individuals faced in accessing reliable transportation. Later, Emiley started driving for non-emergency medical transportation companies in the Portland metro area, where she witnessed significant gaps in the system. What should have been a simple ride to an appointment was often anything but—highlighting the urgent need for compassionate, dependable transport services.

With a vision of making transportation more accessible and reliable, they set out to create a service that not only meets but exceeds industry standards. Their goal is to serve not just the Portland metro area but also rural communities where options are limited. As industry leaders, they are committed to continuous innovation and expansion, ensuring every passenger receives safe, dependable, and respectful service.
